Power Girl, also known as Kara Zor-L, is a DC Comics superheroine originating from Earth-Two, an alternate reality parallel to the mainstream DC universe (Earth-One). She is the Kryptonian cousin of Superman from that reality, surviving the destruction of Krypton as an infant.

Like her Earth-One counterpart Supergirl, Kara Zor-L was sent to Earth in a rocket prior to Krypton's demise. However, due to her rocket traveling more slowly and encountering unexpected barriers, she arrived on Earth-Two much later than Kal-L (Earth-Two's Superman), already an adult.

Adopting the identity of Power Girl, she possesses similar powers to Superman, including super strength, flight, heat vision, and invulnerability. She distinguished herself from her cousin and Supergirl by initially taking on the mantle of a businesswoman, using her financial resources to fund her heroic activities.

Power Girl is often portrayed as assertive and independent, grappling with her Kryptonian heritage and her place in the DC universe. Her backstory and origin have undergone several revisions throughout DC Comics continuity, particularly after the Crisis on Infinite Earths event.
